This blog will discuss the various personality types people have, and how a leader must adapt to them in order to be successful.

I am currently enrolled in a Master of Science in Strategic Leaderhsip program, and creating a blog regarding leadership in one form or another is a requirement. I believe this blog will be beneficial to me, as it is the first one I ever created. I am interested to see what you all have to say!!

For starters, why don't you take a few minutes and take this color quiz. I will periodically post random test links so you can figure out what your personality really is!

  1. Hi Maria - I took the quiz and got this result: Having difficulty making progress and unwilling to put forth further effort. Seeking more comfortable conditions where she can avoid anything disturbing. Weird.

  2. Maria,
I took the color quiz. I was shocked by how right on the results actually were. Just by picking colors? Thank you for the test. It was fun and interesting.

  3. I just finished reading a very interesting artilce in Public Personnel Management entitled Peronalities at AWork: Understanding and Managing Human Nature on the Job by Laurence Millerk Ph.D. This article provided some very straight forward advice on several various personality types a manager may encounter in the workplace and some management strategies to employ when dealing with these personality types.

I'm saving this article to refer back to it as I am faced with interacting with some of the personalities the article discussed.

  4. Maria,
I just took the quiz and laughed. There is something to be said about the results. I was surprised to read that there are companies that use this test. It was delightful and amusing.

  6. My test said that I am an authoritative personality. I find that odd because I like to believe that I am the type of manager who involves their employees on decisions, empowers them and I delegate like no other. I am however a bit controlling and I am very involved with my branch and staff members so maybe that is where the authoritative personality traits come from.
